Also known as the memory crystal. The Arcanum Vitae is an extremely rare, high-tier alchemical crystal capable of preserving the soul, memory, and emotional essence of a deceased being. Born from the fusion of psionically-reactive minerals and the mystical Mistbloom flower, these shimmering artifacts are revered across the Dyade as the only known vessels that can hold the full emotional resonance of a life once lived.

Though they are sometimes used to facilitate resurrection, most Arcanum Vitae serve as sacred memory relics—kept in family vaults, shrines, or personal collections as emotional anchors to the dead.

🌿 Creation

Required Components:

• Mistbloom Flower – A sacred, azure-blue blossom with emotion-retentive properties. Incredibly rare and only found under specific environmental conditions.

• Psionic Crystal Core – Crystals harvested from ley-saturated veins or dream-infused regions, capable of absorbing and holding mental energy.

Crafting Process:

• Requires a master alchemist with both arcane and emotional calibration.

• Performed under lunar alignment or soul-reactive aether winds.

• Involves:

Result:

• A functioning Arcanum Vitae holding the complete essence

• A master-level magic user capable of advanced resurrection rituals

Costs & Risks:

• The caster must trade a portion of their own lifespan to empower the rite.

• The memory crystal may crack after multiple failures.

• Resurrection is only possible if the target's body is preserved, or if the new body is fully compatible.

• Lingering soul residue in the original body will cause failure or corruption.

Only the most desperate or devoted attempt resurrection. For many, remembering is enough.
