Many scholars mistakenly describe Ancient Eldic as an emotionless language. This is an oversimplification. The deeper understanding is that Ancient Eldic does not erase emotion; rather, it subordinates emotion to intent. Fear, grief, devotion, fury, and love may still exist within the speaker, but once the language is invoked properly, those feelings are compressed and directed toward purpose. Emotion is not removed. Though what she speaks is likely not identical to its original primordial form, her chants have demonstrated that enough of the language remains intact to awaken powerful Resonantia once thought lost to history. Because of this, Ancient Eldic is no longer viewed merely as a relic. In Miko’s hands, it has become proof that the old sacred systems of Eldion are not dead—only dormant.
Eldic Transcendence State
Overview The Eldic Transcendence State is a rare condition entered by Miko when she chants Ancient Eldic with sufficient intent, focus, and purpose. In this state, her ordinary emotional processing is partially subdued as she becomes a living conductor for powerful Resonantia. This is not simply heightened concentration, nor is it comparable to an ordinary battle-ready mindset. Rather, it is a profound shift in cognitive and emotional function brought on by alignment with the operational logic of Ancient Eldic itself. When the state manifests, Miko becomes unnaturally calm, cold, and precise. Her movements, voice, and decisions lose the softness and emotional sensitivity that define her everyday personality. Hesitation vanishes. Doubt recedes.
Behavioral Shift
Outside combat, Miko is known to be emotionally expressive, clingy, easily flustered, affectionate, and deeply vulnerable. During Eldic Transcendence, that ordinary self appears to recede beneath the function of the chant.
