The Severed Gratia is a soul-key created from a willingly separated fragment of Azura’s own identity-pattern and entrusted to Dorian Nevastralis. It is neither an ordinary relic nor a conventional container of Aether. The Gratia carries a living resonance of Azura: memory, devotion, recognition, emotional continuity, and the part of her soul that accepts Dorian as belonging to her. Its purpose is not to grant him authority over Azura. It allows her existence to recognize him across boundaries that ordinary matter, distance, and system law cannot reliably cross. When joined with Dorian’s human consciousness, Avatar resonance, and reciprocal bond, the Severed Gratia becomes one of the central conditions leading to the birth of Mikoruru.

The Soul-Key of Chosen Belonging

The name reflects the relic’s central contradiction. It is created through separation. Yet its purpose is union. Origin The Severed Gratia originates from Azura’s resonance with Dorian. As a human Avatar, Dorian exists within Eldion under conditions fundamentally different from those of native Syntharians. His consciousness is translated into the realm through I.R.I.S., while his embodied presence is stabilized by Eldion’s lattice and Aether. This makes his existence within the world both genuine and precarious. He belongs to Eldion through lived experience, emotional connection, and identity. But he did not originate from its native code. Azura’s soul-key forms as an answer to this instability.
