Klangkristall
Klangkristall is a naturally occurring dark-red mineral found in and around Eldion’s rivers, lakes, and other water-bearing regions. In its raw state, Klangkristall is comparatively stable. Its fragments are larger than ordinary sand and can be filtered from riverbeds, lake margins, sediment channels, and shallow mineral deposits. Once exposed to controlled fire refinement, however, its internal structure changes. The crystal becomes highly volatile.

Fire-Refined Klangkristall
Heat-treated crystal with increased energy density and sensitivity. Used in early explosive shells and large demolition charges.
Powdered Klangkristall
Finely processed explosive material with high reactive surface area. Extremely unstable without treatment.
Stabilized Klangkristall
Powder mixed with regulating compounds to control activation and burn behaviour. Used in standardized ammunition and industrial charges.
Capsule-Grade Klangkristall
Precisely measured stabilized material formed into Resonantia-responsive propulsion capsules. Used in Panzerbrecher systems and other compact launch weapons. Known Risks Klangkristall remains hazardous at every stage of refinement. Known risks include: accidental detonation from impact activation by sustained sound vibration sensitivity during transport heat-induced ignition chain detonation between stored batches Resonantia interference pressure rupture unstable powder contamination inconsistent threshold behaviour Storage areas must remain cool, quiet, and structurally isolated. Large quantities are divided into smaller sealed compartments to prevent sympathetic detonation.
