Mordak served within Reinthal’s military hierarchy long enough to understand its patrol routes, command habits, response timing, pride, and weaknesses. He had considered the city’s corruption before Azura and Dorian appeared, but lacked the legitimacy and symbolic center needed to challenge it. Azura’s public emergence changes the equation: she gives his rebellion a shape people can witness and believe.
