Overview

Description

The Hellions are a decentralized, blood-soaked network of freelance mercenaries, bounty hunters, assassins, smugglers, and absolute lunatics who refused to sign with Vultaire Armatura. They are the anti-corporate answer to mercenary regulation—a volatile alternative for clients who want results now and don’t give a damn about rules, morality, or war crimes.

Hellions don’t care what the job is.
They don’t care who you are.
They only care if you can pay.

They operate through unsecured mission terminals scattered across both Earth and Karthaheim, often located in dive bars, ruins, junkyards, and underground fight pits. Missions are posted, taken, and executed in hours. No central base, no payroll delays, no taxes, no moral oversight.

If it breathes, bleeds, or explodes, they’ll take the contract.

“You want morals? Go pay extra for a uniformed cop. You want results? You talk to a Hellion.”
— Slaglord Brixa Grinblade, after blowing up a diplomat mid-speech

History

The Hellions began as defectors, dropouts, and disgruntled rejects from Vultaire Armatura—mercs tired of mandatory contracts and 12% brokerage fees. After the Fifth Proxy War, a rogue warlord named Torga the Bone-Divider posted the first open terminal contract under the Hellion flag.

Within months, a movement was born.

Backed by backroom funding, off-grid crypto, and underworld syndicates, the Hellions now outnumber every other mercenary registry combined. They have no founder. No charter. Only chaos and coin.

Their symbol: a flaming, broken crown impaled on a combat knife.
Their motto: “Blood buys freedom.”

Structure

  • The Crownless – High-profile warlords, assassins, or fixers who act as regional arbiters. No central command, only mutual reputation.

  • Slaglords – Hellion leaders of temporary strongholds or mission hubs. Most are violent, flamboyant, and heavily augmented.

  • Burnsheets – Open contracts visible on any Hellion terminal. No background checks. Take it, do it, get paid.

  • Ghosthands – Elite operatives who live off-grid and take only the nastiest jobs. Often mythologized.

  • Scorchmarks – Hellions who went rogue even by Hellion standards. They’re still hired. Just with extra hazard pay.

No rank structure, no paperwork. If you can finish the job and survive the fallout, you're a Hellion.
