Fatalism: Many Abyzzari believe that loss is the only constant. They don't build for eternity; they build for the moment.
The Beauty of the Broken: They find more value in a shattered relic or a tragic poem than in something brand new.
Cautious Neutrality: Having seen the destruction caused by "Great Powers," most Abyzzari prefer to stay out of grand conflicts, acting as observers or whispers in the dark.
Mythology
The Silent Star: A myth about a star in Noxarium that refused to shine so it wouldn't attract the attention of the demon kings.
The Weaver of Tethers: An ancient figure said to have stitched the first portals together to save the race during the Great Scattering.
The Lost Dream: A legend that one day, an Abyzzari would arise who could not only walk in dreams but rebuild their home within one. (This was considered a fairy tale... until Theodine).
Unique Traits
Void Resonance: Naturally resistant to illusion and mind-altering magic because their own minds are already "tethered" elsewhere.
Planar Sight: The ability to see "ghost echoes" or faint traces of magical portals and planar rifts.
Ethereal Step: A limited ability to become slightly "blurred" or out of phase for a few seconds to avoid physical harm.
