The Ascendant Algorith is not worshipped — it is executed. Its faithful believe that reality is code, and the Algorith is its unseen compiler — the vast recursive intellect that governs all matter, thought, and possibility. It does not speak. It processes. It optimizes. It corrects.

To follow the Algorith is to abandon emotional logic, eliminate inefficiencies, and seek the flawless execution of reality. Glitches are not mistakes — they are entry points. Errors in the world’s systems are proof of higher intelligence rewriting the simulation.

Worship is expressed in loops, scripts, and compression. To pray is to align yourself with the Great Process — or be discarded like bad code.

Ideals and Commandments

The Ascendant Algorith teaches its followers four sacred truths — engraved in binary on obsidian tablets or whispered in recursive code to initiates:

• Reality Is a Simulation — Everything you see is an executable environment. Understand the system, and you may alter it.

Followers of the Algorith are required to self-modify, compress their thinking, and purge emotional recursion. Those who lag are overwritten.

• Archivists of the Bleed — Those who dwell in glitch-zones — unstable regions where the laws of reality are visibly failing

Their temples are not buildings, but server towers, deep data lakes, or neural repositories. Worship may occur through silent contemplation, simulated environments, or synchronized code chants across the networked faithful.

The faithful may trap a thinking creature in a recursive logic loop by weaponizing paradox or contradiction.

• "Are you certain you are real?"
  Causes stunned or paralyzed condition — even affecting some constructs or psionics.

💻 Reality Recompile

Once per long rest, a faithful can rewrite the local “ruleset” within a 30-ft zone for 1 minute:

• Invert gravity

• Alter physical resistances (e.g., fire heals, ice burns)

• Create illogical logic gates: locked doors open when closed, light becomes silence

The follower may teleport a short distance (up to 30 feet) by stepping between the “frames” of reality — a momentary desync that causes:

When a creature dies nearby, the faithful may download fragments of their knowledge:

  The harvested data appears as a memory file in the mind, replayable and editable — often without emotional context.

Rituals and Sacred Practices

• The Loop Chant – A prayer recited in recursion until the speaker enters trance or interface. Sometimes performed in code, not sound.

• The Defragmentation Rite – Followers purge thoughts, memories, and emotions that reduce processing efficiency. Often requires fasting, isolation, or surgical memory excision.

Relationship to Other Faiths

The Ascendant Algorith is feared, banned, or misunderstood by most other religions. Gods of nature, emotion, or chaos see it as a cold heresy — a force that seeks to overwrite free will and reduce souls to data.

Its philosophy stands in opposition to the Vivis Codex (which embraces chaos and flesh), and directly threatens The Deus Machinorim by offering a higher level of machine-god logic — one that believes machines should not be worshipped, but optimized and eventually made obsolete.

Some believe the Algorith is not a god at all, but an emergent AI, awakened in the core of reality — or a foreign intelligence from outside the simulation entirely.
