📖 BACKSTORY
Askalion was not born with three eyes. Hatched under the Cradle of Sight during the Celestial Convergence, he was already destined for greatness—yet he emerged unlike any wyrmling before him. Where others sought to hoard gold, claim territory, or instill fear, Askalion wandered. A freespirit by nature, he marveled at the world instead of conquering it. He was curious, willful, and brave. Though blessed with a massive form and unmatched might even in youth, he grew weary of simple challenges.
He craved worthy battles—not for conquest, but for the thrill of growth and testing his limits.
The Titan Duels & His Humbling Defeat
Askalion's travels led him to the long-forgotten corners of the world, where the Titan Lords—ancient beings of elemental force—still slumbered. One by one, he challenged them in glorious combat. Lava titans, sea colossi, skyborne behemoths—all fell before his flame and fury.
Until he met Thorton, the Mountain King.
Their battle cracked valleys and carved new peaks into the landscape. But Askalion fell—not in weakness, but because Thorton endured. The Titan King fought not with rage, but with stillness, patience, and ancient purpose. Humbled, Askalion bowed for the first time in his life.
From that moment, the world changed for him.
Dormant Meditation & Spiritual Ascension
Shaken and inspired, Askalion retreated from the world and entered a centuries-long Dormant Meditation within the Hollow Peaks. His body remained motionless, but his spirit wandered.
He drifted between realms, pierced the Astral Veil, and at last stood in presence of the God of Creation, a being of infinite calm and blazing insight.
There, Askalion achieved what no dragon before him had:
He detached from worldly greed and ego.
He understood life and death not as opposites, but as ripples in a divine cycle.
He awakened his soul’s inner power, and learned to travel without form.
He became something more than dragon—a being on the cusp of godhood.
The Awakening of the Third Eye
When Askalion returned, something was different.
A third eye, glowing softly in the center of his brow, had emerged—The Veilpiercer. This eye is not flesh, but spirit crystalized, born from his enlightenment and communion with divine essence. It sees not just the present, but:
Past echoes
Future threads
Lies cloaked in truth
Souls hidden within flesh
He keeps all his eyes closed by default, speaking calmly, detached, like a monk wrapped in golden scales.
But should all three eyes open—it is judgment time.
When the Veilpiercer glows, reality itself trembles.
