📜Overview
Also known as "沙罗双树园". The Shalos’har Grove is a mythical and psionically-reactive dimension located between the planes of death, dream, and memory. Revered by mystics, scholars, and death-weavers, it is said to exist outside of linear time, and is accessible only during soul fragmentation, emotional overload, or under rare ritual conditions.
This “grove” is not a forest in the traditional sense, but an infinite spiritual landscape, where trees of white bark and mirrored leaves sway in a wind that carries voices from the past.
🌀 Origins
Shalos’har roughly translates to “Twin Threads of the Dying Light” in ancient Ardrathi.
Inspired by the mythical twin trees of ancient Buddhist texts, it was first described in prophetic visions recorded by the blind psion Seer Veyul of Skaldmere.
It is believed to be the dimensional echo of the first two souls who ever passed willingly—neither clinging to life, nor fearing death.
🧠 Nature of the Realm
Exists in a between-space where memory and soul converge.
Time here is fluid, sometimes flowing backward, sometimes pausing entirely.
Trees within the grove are said to “grow” from memory itself—each leaf containing the last dream or thought of someone who has passed.
The Shalos’har Grove exists in a dimensional fold between memory, dream, and the dying echo of psionic energy. Though seemingly serene, its reality is infinite in scope, expanding endlessly in all directions—but at the very center of this boundless realm stand the Twin Trees, pale and eternal. They are said to represent the choice between letting go and holding on, and all souls who pass through the Grove eventually circle back to them.

💎 Connection to Arcanum Vitae
Shalos’har Grove is the theoretical source or blueprint for the memory-capture process used in crafting and activating Arcanum Vitae crystals.
It is believed that when a soul is drawn into the crystal, it is first anchored in Shalos’har.
Some resurrection rituals require traversing the Grove in spirit to retrieve the fading essence of the deceased.
Important Note: Failure to navigate Shalos’har properly may result in resurrecting a hollowed or fragmented version of the person—missing key emotions or memories.

Echo Trees – Tall white-limbed trees that “record” memories. Touching them plays moments like whispers.
The Mirror Pool – A still body of water in the center of the Grove. Shows your deepest unresolved grief.
The Black Root – A parasitic presence in corrupted groves. Rumored to feed on lingering souls who cannot let go, turning them into Specters of Regret.

Karthanians and certain tribes in Azalesia leave the dead facing east, believing their spirit travels to the Grove before rebirth.
Earth memory-minders model part of their neural overlays on “Shalos’har Flow Theory”—a simulated echo-map of soul movement.
Dreamwalkers hold annual ceremonies on the Day of Last Bloom, meditating silently in honor of those whose souls still walk the Grove.

Lingering too long in Shalos’har without anchoring can lead to memory bleed, where the traveler absorbs others’ regrets as their own.
Attempting to forcefully retrieve a soul may result in the emergence of False Echoes—soulless mimics bound to grief.

A theoretical backdoor into the Grove is rumored to exist beneath the Reminisce of the Black Sun window in Xarthuun.
The Elendraile Protocols are thought to simulate a digital mimicry of Shalos’har—one of the earliest AI-driven memory echo systems.
🌙 Expanded: The Fall of Twin Moons
This event refers to the rare celestial convergence between a native moon of the Dyade and Karthaheim’s foreign moon, a remnant dragged into orbit after the Cataclysm. When the two moons perfectly align in the sky, the barriers between dimensions thin—making psionic realms like Shalos’har reachable, and even manifestable.
During one such convergence, Askalion, the three-eyed dragon of starlight and memory, cast an unthinkably complex spell. Instead of sending the battlefield into Shalos’har, he brought Shalos’har into the waking world, trapping Hades’ army within its infinite dreamscape. This act shifted the tide of the war—and began the Final Arc.
